  Background: Social interaction can be interpreted as a relationship that occurs in a group of individuals who communicate with each other and carry out social actions. Quality of life is life satisfaction that can be seen from the physical, psychological, environmental and social conditions felt by the individual. A phenomenon that occurs in society is that elderly people who live with their families will receive special attention from their families, but in reality elderly people are often left behind by their families to work so interactions are only carried out at night. Elderly people who lack interaction will have an impact on the physical, psychological health, environment and social life of the elderly. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between social interaction and the quality of life of the elderly. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design with a sample of 82 elderly aged 60-74 years. Samples were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Social Interaction and WHOQOOL- BREEF questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between social interaction and the quality of life of the elderly in Bodesari Village, Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency. Results: The results of the Chi-Square test showed a significant value (p = 0.000 <0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between social interaction and the quality of life of the elderly in Bodesari Village, Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency. Conclusion: There is a relationship between social interaction and the quality of life of the elderly in Bodesari Village, Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency.
