X is an industrial company that operates in the field of printing shoe Vamp components. In the production process of Vamp components, obstacles are often encountered, namely waste or activities that do not provide added value to the company. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that cause waste in the printing process and the efforts made to streamline waste in the production process. The method used is value stream mapping which is the implementation process of lean manufacturing by identifying the value added stages in each process flow. From the research results, several wastes were found in the Vamp component production process, including movement waste, transportation waste and waiting waste. The production time percentage in the future state mapping decreased by 41.8%, and the lead time percentage decreased by 65.4%. The proposal given is to modify the factory layout to minimize waste movement and add transportation aids in the form of trolleys to minimize transportation waste.
