Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick Pada Materi Gempa Bumi Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa di SMP

    Talking Stick: An Effective Approach to Earthquake Material in Middle School Bustomi Email : bustomi020402@gmail.com Astract: This research aims to determine the influence of the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type on earthquake material on the learning outcomes of SMPN students. The study uses the True Experimental method, with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampling was done using the Simple Random Sampling technique, with class VIII E as the experimental class and VIII A as the control class. This research uses independent, dependent, and control variables. The instruments used in this research are learning instruments and data collection instruments The test used is in the form of multiple-choice questions with a total of 15 questions. A questionnaire is used to measure student responses, with four answer options scored from 1 to 4, and a total of 20 questions. Observations are conducted during the learning process, filled out by the observer, consisting of 6 questions regarding the alignment of the teaching process, answered with yes/no during the learning process.. The objectives of this research are to answer the following problem formulations: (1) To understand the implementation, student learning outcomes, and student responses to learning about earthquake material using the Cooperative Learning model of the Talking Stick type. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The implementation of learning on earthquake material using the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type was well-executed, with results in the "almost entirely implemented" category. (2) The experimental class obtained an average N- Gain score of 0.7874, which falls into the high category, while the control class obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.6624, which falls into the medium category. In the hypothesis testing using non-parametric methods (Mann-Whitney test), the result is 0.008, so the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted (3) There were positive student responses to the use of the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type, categorized as good, evidenced by the average student response agreeing with an overall average score of 87.50%.
