  Abstract In the context of Indonesia’s public food logistics sector, adaptive performance has become increasingly essential due to the dynamic challenges posed by digital transformation, policy shifts, and bureaucratic constraints. This study investigates the impact of self-regulation on adaptive performance, while also examining the moderating role of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) in this relationship. Grounded in Self-Regulation Theory and Social Exchange Theory, the research draws upon a sample of 240 employees from logistics companies in West Java, including National Public Logistics Agency BULOG and its partners. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the findings reveal that self-regulation has a positive and significant effect on adaptive performance. However, POS does not significantly moderate this relationship. These results suggest that while internal psychological capacities like self- regulation are critical for enhancing individual adaptability, external support from organizations may not sufficiently enhance this effect unless it is perceived as personally relevant and developmental. The study offers theoretical contributions by highlighting the dominance of self-regulation in structured, collectivist work environments and proposes practical implications for HR strategies, including the integration of psychological training, goal-setting workshops, and personalized support mechanisms to foster resilience and adaptability in the workforce.
