    INTRODUCTION This section of the research contains the background, research problems, summaries of previous relevant studies, the gap of knowledge, and research objectives. This will reveal the state of the art, its originality. Human resources have remained a focal point for organizations and institutions striving to survive in the era of globalization. Despite the presence of sophisticated infrastructure and financial support, the lack of capable and qualified human resources may hinder the effectiveness of organizational activities (Siagian, 2018). Therefore, each employee must possess adequate competencies to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization (Yuniningsih, 2022). Goleman (2020) revealed that Emotional Quotient (EQ) accounts for 80% of an individual’s success, whereas Intelligence Quotient (IQ) contributes only 20%. Similarly, Hafsah (2023) found that emotional intelligence significantly affects understanding levels among students, while intellectual intelligence showed no significant impact.
