THE IMPLEMENTATION OF READ ALOUD ACTIVITY IN READING COMPREHENSION AT SDIT MUHAMMADIYAH AL-FURQAN

This study aims to find out how the process of implementing read aloud activities and to find out the problems and advantages using read aloud. In this study used a qualitative descriptive methodology. This study used interviews and observations to obtain data, researcher used data source triangulation. Research was conducted at SDIT Muhammadiyah Al-FURQAN. The findings from this study indicate that the teacher carries out three processes (Pre reading activities, during reading activities and post reading activities) when carrying out reading aloud activities. There are several problems experienced when implementing reading aloud activities, some problems such as; Takes time to condition the class, Requires more explanation to students, The teacher must also direct and guide students. However, teacher still got advantages from using read aloud activities. Some of the advantages are the class becomes more active, can carry out discussions together, can minimize the presence of students who do not understand.
