ENGLISH TEACHERS PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HOTS IN ENGLISH SUBJECT AT ONE OF THE HIGH SCHOOLS IN BEKASI

The purpose of this study was to investigate to investigate teacher planning and implementation of English HOTS at SMAN 1 Cikarang Utara in academic year 2022/2023. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Cikarang, Bekasi City, West Java. With 1 English teacher and 11th grade students selected as the sample. This study uses checklist observations and interviews to find out the teacher's planning documentation and implementation applied by the teacher in learning activities in class. The results of the research show it can be concluded that the lesson plan for English lessons contains HOTS category problem material where the data shows the existence of a high-level thinking theory stated by Bloom's Taxonomy theory where C4 is analyzing, C5 evaluating and C6 creating In conclusion, the findings of this study indicate that from the results of the research analysis, In the HOTS implementation of English lessons, it was concluded that there were indicators of knowledge contained in the lesson plan in terms of formal invitation letter material, namely factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, metacognitive knowledge and self-knowledge Keywords: Teacher's Planning, Implementation, HOTS
