  The present study aims to investigate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of students’ worksheet based on the ethnomathematics toward Pythagorean theorem material to improve students’ mathematical reasoning skills in Kacirebonan Palace. This study employed research development design (R&D) by using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Material experts, teachers, and students were the participants of this study. The students’ participants were from one state junior high school in Cilimus. Expert validation sheets, teacher and students’ reasoning ability test instruments were employed as the research instruments in this study. The findings indicate that (1) the result of the validity test conducted by the material experts obtain a percentage of 88.88% with a “very valid” category; (2) the results of the practicality test conducted by mathematic teacher obtain a percentage 96.92% wtih a “very practical” category; (3) the results of the effectiveness are measured after students fulfill their pre-test and post-test where the average N-Gain value is showed by the 0.65 in the “medium” category. Therefore, this study infers that the development of ethnomathematics-based worksheets is considered effective to improve students’ mathematical reasoning abilities.
