    This study aims to examine and determine the effect of interpersonal communication on employee performance with organizational commitment as a moderating variable. In this study using a quantitative approach. The sample used in this research is nonprobability sampling with saturated sampling. So in this study using all populations of 79 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this study is a simple regression coefficient of determination, moderated regression analysis and to measure the research variables, the researcher uses a Likert Scale. The results of data analysis show that interpersonal communication consisting of openness, empathy, support, a sense of positivity and equality has a influence on the performance of the office Kesyahbandaran and Otoritas Pelabuhan Class II Cirebon. Meanwhile, the results of the data show that organizational commitment which consists of affective commitment, continual commitment and normative commitment as moderating variables is not able to moderate the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance of the office Kesyahbandaran and Otoritas Pelabuhan Class II Cirebon. However, this study uses interpersonal communication variables, so that if further tested it is necessary to examine other variables, because it is suspected that there are other variables in moderating the relationship between interpersonal communication and performance such as leadership style.
